Coca-Cola reduces fuel use and CO2 emissions by approximately 20%

from XL Hybrids

The world’s largest beverage company is reducing its operational expenses and shrinking its carbon footprint by converting to hybrid electric drive systems.

The result in over nine million service miles is approximately 20% less fuel use compared to conventional vehicles. For 280 vehicles in the Coca-Cola fleet, that is the equivalent of 25% better MPG, not to mention eliminating about 6,000 total metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions over 10 years.

Coca-Cola’s investment in hybrid vehicle systems supports its goal of reducing its carbon footprint and is leading to fuel savings and potentially lower maintenance costs.
