Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards (VMRS), the industry standard coding convention for equipment and maintenance information, can be implemented easily and successfully to track the costs of maintaining and operating fleet vehicles.
VMRS establishes a “universal” language for fleets, original equipment manufacturers’ (OEMs), industry suppliers. For the people whose responsibility it is to specify, purchase, operate, and maintain equipment, as the shorthand of maintenance reporting VMRS eliminates the need for extensive and error-prone written communications.
VMRS, managed by the Technology & Maintenance Council of American Trucking Associations, has already proven to be highly valuable for fleets and since 1970 has been a vital link between maintenance personnel and management software.
