With fuel costs affecting freight haulers in many ways, insight into the interactions of economic change and energy supply, demand and prices can be valuable in planning and budgeting. With projections for a range of energy markets and insightful analysis of energy topics, those capabilities are even greater.

EIA's Annual Energy Outlook provides modeled projections of domestic energy sources and it includes assumptions regarding macroeconomic growth, world oil prices, technological progress and energy policies.

Strong domestic production coupled with relatively flat energy demand is allowing the United States to become a net energy exporter over the projection period in most cases, a good news scenario for highly fuel dependent trucking operations.
